Me and a friend of mine have been writing a LOT of clintasha recently (she writes Natasha, I write Clint), and one of the things we did was our version of their very first meeting, where Clint made that different call, so it could inform everything else we wrote. HOWEVER, whilst writing it, we got to a point where we both went wow they could totally kiss right now, but we'd played ourselves because we decided to make it a ten year long slow burn. SO we ended up writing an au where they DID kiss right then, and then both end up going rogue (Nat from the KGB, and Clint from SHIELD - although at first, Clint is reluctant, but changes his mind when he discovers SHIELD planted a tracker in him without his knowledge, and it breaks his trust completely)...and honestly it's SUCH a good au, it's so interesting to write and actually has similar vibes to the original comics, with them both ending up as Iron Man villains for a little bit. We're going to have them come in to the Avengers eventually, with Fury secretly using the two of them rather than the Lemurian Star to get information on HYDRA within SHIELD. SHIELD (Pierce) then tells the Avengers that these two rogue assassins have classified info on SHIELD that could put agents in danger and so they need to be captured at all costs. Because the Avengers are after them, Clint and Nat are focused on that and end up getting blindsided by a KGB ambush (who still want Natasha back), and Nat ends up shot (like in the comics). This forces Clint to surrender to the Avengers, who promise to keep Natasha alive if he comes quietly. Then, when the Avengers find out what information Clint and Nat actually have on SHIELD, they start working with them instead.

BUT ANYWAY. I wanna draw other things with them, but this is just them in an airport, travelling somewhere else because wherever they were before got compromised, and Nat's clocked someone (YOU!) watching them.

I have mixed feelings about this, but I think it turned out alright overall! Hope you like it - let me know what you think!
