ive done a few pastels as well, but nothing like this. absolutely phenominal. i love charcoal more, for me its just something about black and white that i love.

I use Nupastel. It's a chalk-type pastel rather than oil pastel. You can get some really brilliant, unmuddied colors with it.

oh i use nupastel too it's cool.... but the pigments from rembrandt oil pastels and chalk pastels are similar and produce colors similar to those. the company hails from holland.

a very nice pastel with a very comfy tone. nice! congrats!
critique (imho): the foreground looks a little rushed, sketchy. should have been more exact. nevertheless a very nice representation of a forest.
