omg I suck at poses, so it normally takes me a few times to get one -- though by then I generally rage quit xD If you have knowledge in anatomy (unlike me), it makes it a lot easier.
You can also look up some refs on google images or on dA, that has helped me in the past.
It's hard to get any interesting poses squished into 50x50 icons though haha

The few moments I get it right is like a godsent in my eyes.
And then there's the time I try to force myself to do something anyways and fails so gravely I give up for several weeks XD
