Description
During my work on my bachelor degree this fall/winter, I worked with LAMP- tehcnology at the department of clinical biochemistry of the local hospital. It is VERY exciting stuff!
Due to the name of the technology, I got inspired to draw a genie
I did the sketch in october, and proceeded to put color on him during the subsequent months.
It is not perfect, and has flaws here and there, but I am proud of the result nontheless. (And happy with the process!)
I wanted to draw "complex" male anatomy, due to the fact that I tend to draw a lot of females
I used a ton of different reference photos of arms, necks and torsos to "build" my own character and try to get the muscles right.
Half way through coloring, I decided to try and colorize the genie with a sort of "super hero comic style" with hard edges of light
I am still contemplating on whether or not to put a very dark-greyish blue on the white background to make the rest "pop" forward to the viewer...
