Description
I was trying to practice coloring & using SAI, so I found some linearts to practice with. When I tried to color using the Wand Tool, it kept selecting the whole picture.
This was a PNG file, but it had a white background, btw. I'm not sure if this would be necessary for actual PNG, with the transparency, though.

Anyway so I tried to find some solutions to that. The ones I found were using the 'Multiply' option on the lineart but eh, that's not how I wanted to color (I'm picky xD).
There was this person on a dA forum that gave steps for "lifting the lineart," but it didn't work for me. I ended up just playing around with SAI and the all the info I found/know about SAI, and I came up with this. ^^
Well, it's helpful (I hope) if you want to take some time 'fixing lineart.'
