Portrait of Tango, a really beautiful quarter horse x arabianHe has such a beautiful long mane, I wish I had opted to add it, but I was liking how the neck was turning out in this picture.
I opted to recreate the background of the picture (with less distractions) rather than create a new one. I thought it looked pretty classy
I just wish I was better at drawing people (didn't even try hahah)I've been experimenting with a new way to add highlights, trying to give the look of a glossy coat to my pictures and this is the first picture I really feel like I had any success on. So I'm in a good mood right now.

This is so wonderful. you captured the breed perfectly. when I saw it, my first thought was quarter horse arabian, and then ...wow. It's really hard to make the horse have the features of the breed, and I often find myself drawing the same body type over and over again. Here, though, it's perfect. beautiful job!

He looks so lovely, I love the slightly dished face and wow his coat is beautiful, I love the subtle color changes and it seems to really shine, without the over-the-top-dodge-tool look!

Everything looks so velvety! And I agree with you on succeeding with those highlights, it gives his coat a nice, healthy sheen. I really love the way the background came out, too.
