#3. Snowy Dawn Angelus Ardui
Type: Candidus/Excelsi Ardui (common)
Robe style: Korean traditional
Angelum Roris: norigae waist ornament (uncommon)

No serious uploads for like, a month.... and the first thing I post after exams are over is an adoptable design /// No complaints here, though - I had so much fun doing this!! //v\\

So as some of my older watchers might know, I was invited to join Desiree-U 's Adoptable Advent Calendar as a guest artist, and I offered to do one of my Angelus Ardui (aka guardian angels) for Day 16's theme, Snow/Snowflakes! <3 Also sleepypandie was kind enough to pre-buy the slot before I released it as an auction, so this Snowy Dawn belongs to her *v*

I've always liked to use Western clothing styles/motifs for my angels when I design them, but I felt it might be interesting to do a Hanbok-themed one this time around! may or may not have been inspired after a shopping trip to Seoul's traditional crafts/clothes district with NotLucy last weekend ahAHAHA so here we have it! Since Angelus Ardui are genderless, I went for an androgynous design that includes the long robes of Confucian scholars (all men) and the top / collar style of women's attire. Also did a lot of resesarch on modern 'simplified' Hanbok to incorporate the mini half-ribbon on the chest and the brooch (traditionally the ribbon is large and REALLY long, but the modern ones are small and cute to go well with the shorter dresses // and brooches seem to have become a thing after more and more people wear hanbok for parties / formal occasions). The Angelum Roris is also an uncommon style, I suppose, since it's hung from the belt in the form of a norigae (traditional ornament) instead of as a necklace or a chain o u o <3

ALSO FLAUNTS THE SWORD I usually don't design swords for my Angelus Ardui because it's another bout of research and not worth the time, but since it's you Pandie bby I know this design is going into loving hands and I wanted to make it a whole complete set Plus I was watching a Korean historical artifact channel some time ago and they were talking about ancient Korean state countries and thE SWORD STYLE OF GAYA STATE (from like BC 200 idk ahaha) WAS RLY PRETTY???? casually adapted it into this design to keep to the traditions! <3 I think if I ever do more Angelus designs, I'll probably make sword designs an AB extra // we shall see...
