I was pointing out the hypocracy of the leadership of the extremists. The actual texts of Islam encourage people to seek a better, more enlightened life. What Isis and all these extremists teach is not Islam.

As for the genital mutilation, I don't know if that' in the actual text. I know all religions based on books around that time period include horribly barbaric things. Look at the bible for example, if a man rapes a woman her father is suppose to sell her to him, unless she was engaged to be married to someone else, or was married to someone else, then both she and the rapist were to be stoned to death because she didn't scream for help loud enough to stop the rape.

I don't like people who use religion as a power trip.
You have a good point there in our bible it says
to do some barbaric actions, but we have the
personal power not to do it. It pisses me off
when leaders and those Muslims do whatever
the hadiths and Quran says.
