Description

Munja trudged along, sleep in her eyes unable to recall the events that led to this moment. All she knew is that Eagle claimed she has a fever and had been sleepwalking recently. But munja felt something else. The taste of magic. Munja had used some kind of magic while asleep and Eagle didn’t even know about it. So Munja continued to trudge along to the town where she hoped there was a doctor. She rubbed the key that she kept hidden in her new fluff, the key she must of gotten the night when, according to Eagle, she sleepwalked on the hill. The key was familiar and had a sense of nostalgia and a life before, and had a word etched onto it. Gina. Suddenly noticing she was lagging behind, Munja trotted up to Eagle and Damien, who was riding on Eagle’s back. With a silent nod Eagle acknowledged Munja. It wasn’t until much later when Damien asked “So whats the plan, Eagle? Divide and conquer?”

It was obvious that while Munja had no idea what they were talking about, the two partners knew what each had in mind. “Yes, you go to the nook, and deal with what needs to be done. If you come back, buy supplies and meet us by the Nova Tree.”

Eagle threw Damien a few coins before continuing, “Munja and I will head to Dr. F’s to see whats up with her. If we see anybody she knows, then we will take them to the meeting spot. If you’re not there by sunset, we leave you.”

Eagle stopped and turned around, “We will be there in a few minutes, Munja are you ready?”

Munja merely nodded, unable to meet Eagle’s eyes, afraid that if she looked, she would lose the minimal courage that she had scrounged up for this trip.

After plodding along for a few minutes, they began to reach the outskirts of Wynsiph. Munja blushed and hid behind Eagle, shy in the new environment. Eagle, noticing her discomfort, began walking faster to avoid the stares of wyngro. Soon they arrived at the doctor’s office and Damien split from the group. Eagle entered, practically shoving Munja inside the office’s waiting room, where she stood frozen in front of the faces of several unknown wyngro. Since they didnt have an appointment, Eagle led Munja to a pair of seats.

After waiting a few hours they were finally directed inside to the check-up room. “Well what seems to be the problem young lady?”

A green gro that could only be Dr. F strolled in, pushing a cart in front of him. Eagle spoke, “My friend here has had a fever recently, and has been sleepwalking for the past few weeks after the fever subsided.”

Dr. F stroked his beard quietly before doing anything, “Do you have a medical record by any chance?”

Now it was Munja’s chance to talk, “No, I got struck by lightning about five months ago and lost my memory, I haven’t been back in wynsiph for a long time.”

“Where did you stay after you got struck by lightning? Did they know you before? Is Munja your first name?”

Alarmed by the barrage of questions, Munja took a step back, “Uh, er I stayed with ,um, Artemis and Adonis, at their place, I don’t think I knew them before though, and they said they named me Munja because it means lightning in another language.”

Dr. F then stood back and asked, “If you don’t mind, I think I can heal your scar, both of your scars, with light magic. May I?” Munja nodded, while Eagle shook her head ferociously. After a few seconds, Munja’s scar was reduced to a smaller size. “Unfortunately thats all I can do, as its been far too long to wholly heal a scar of that size.”

Dr. F quickly remembered the conversation and continued.

“Hhmm” Dr. F thought a bit before saying anything else, “Do you have any inkling of who you were before?”

Eagle cut in again, “Can you check the medical file of Cornelia?”

Dr. F’s eyes lit up with interest, “Ah, who might that be?”

Eagle’s voice hitched, “She was my friend. She had the most beautiful purple eyes, but the last I heard of her, she was staying at her friend Gina’s place.”

Munja’s ears perked up, “Did you say Gina?”

Both the Doctor and Eagle looked at her in surprise, “Do you know her?” The Doctor asked.

“No, but I found this house key on the ground the other night I must have been sleepwalking” Munja pulled the key out from her now extremely fluffy neck.

Eagle took one look at the key, and bolted outside, Munja followed unsure what was happening, Eagle stepped out into the waiting room again, and shouted, “Does anyone know who Gina is?!”

A small red wyngling stepped forwards in surprise. “I know Gina. Me and my Mommy were staying at Gina’s house, but then Mommy left to get stuff and didn’t return.”

Eagle stared dumbfounded at the red wyngling before smirking at Munja, “I didn’t know you were a Mommy”
