First off, expressly forbade me from photoshopping this, XD So I just let it be.Anywhoooo, after I read the creepypasta Glitchy Red, wherein Red gains self awareness and realizes that he exists within the confines of a game and not a real world, and mentions how he was angry that they "replaced him with the brown-haired kid," I wondered what our "brown-haired kid" felt about this.
He's not Red. He looks like him, he was modeled after him, but he isn't Red. he's not just a fake and a copy, but a copy of something that didn't exist to start with. If he gained the same self awareness Red did, how would he feel about it? Would he hate Red? Would he envy him? I don't know; but I find it sort of sad and interesting.
Uhhh, right, I doodled this in art today. My teacher though it was heavily disturbing but well done. So I guess that's a compliment? lol

I have to agree with your art teacher; this is heavily disturbing, but well done. It looks like both of them are screaming in pain, trying to pull themselves apart. Very creepy!
I've heard "Glitchy Red" being read out loud on YouTube, and I too, felt sorry for the original Game Red. A lot of fans refer to "the brown-haired kid" as Fire, and hearing the creepypasta sort of gave me a reason why.
I have a feeling Fire might want answers as well, asking the same questions his predecessor did, having the same thoughts, and showing the same hatred towards "them". Or he might feel helpless and lost, threatened by his predecessor and wanting to run.
Impressive piece, nonetheless. I am curious as to how you were able to separate the drawing from the background so cleanly.

Now I have another thought: What if Fire was somehow transported to the world of the Gen I games, more specifically the beta, and forced to fight Buried Alive, only to lose and die? How would Red feel about that?

That makes sense, really. After a long time, it's easy to forget how you did something if you only did it once. But still, this piece is creepy, yet impressive.

I like the concept you have, and I especially love the creepy vibe with the two meshing and straining against each other.Β And that face on old Red is haunting, but still draws me in at the same time.

Well good thing you didn't photoshop it, looks great like this ands more affect (Sometimes penciled/inked work looks better than it's fixed colored version). How he's splitting apart is very nice excellent job

You bring up a very interesting idea. I want to write a story kind of like that, but I want it to have a happier ending. Bittersweet maybe...in which they make peace with each other in some form or fashion.

here's what i think about fire: fire is actually red's son. the gary you see in fire red and leaf green is actually the son of the original gary. fire took on the name 'red' as a means of honoring his father, the original red
