Description
Not looking back, except to see if the hyenas had braved the thorny acacia bushes to come and finish him off, the young prince runs into the desert where he faces a precarious future.Originally the hyenas were meant to be included in the background, but as I was drawing I noticed they'd be too small, so I excluded them; that's why simba is looking back.
Background painted and smudged in photoshop, which is a change from my previous works, I think I'll be doing a lot more of this.
No wacom tablet used, just a stupid mouse. =[

Ha,ha... quite true.
I got used to Simba looking like this until you mentioned the problem. If there is one problem with creating whatever artwork, it's how your eyes and brain self-correct a picture, and it's not until you go back to it after a while (or someone critiques you) that you notice things you could improve.
That's why I generally love critique.
