Another photo from a series Shadows of the past.I've taken all the photos in this series in Birkenau (Brzezinka), Poland during a very foggy day last week.
Once again - like with this deviation [link] - I want to try to show you the relics of the past, the painful memories we should never forget about, so such things won't happen again. Over 1 million people killed...
Today it's the 64th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi concentration camps Auschwitz - Birkenau.

It's good we still have this tangible evidence of the bounds to which man's hatred can go. I love how these things are still there, and people deny any of this ever happened. It's beyond disgusting. What do they think this was, a summer camp?

Bardzo ujmujące jest to, że w dali nie jest tylko obszar bieli - jak na drugim zdjęciu - a uchwycona jest również wieża. Kadr jak z koszmaru czy mocnego dreszczowca...
