Description
T H E C O N T I N U U MFinally finished with this XD
This took about a month to do. The original resolution is 7500x2000, so do be warned when downloading the full resolution image
Against my better judgement, I am allowing this to go to full res AND prints, but i just couldn't resist letting everyone see the full thing.
Layers: about 300
Time Taken: about 30 hours :\
Arizona Iced Teas consumed: (i finished a 24 pack, so.....)
Yaytits.
@ Gucken: I know I didn't fix like HALF the things you told me to, but keep in mind this is v1
@TND: I used your fissure planet for the tiny little destroyed planet
EDIT: Added the black border
EDIT 2: Took j4m3sb0nd's advice on shrinking it

Quite a nice scene indeed! Panoramas are missing a fair bit amongst the space art scene, which is a shame, so it's always nice to see one being submitted - they very easily produce interesting scenes which seem to tell a story of cosmic occurances. This is definitely one of your best pieces yet!
Here you've combined your strong sense of light and bold elements in a well fitting manner, with interesting forms (the well lit planetary rings and deformed moon, for instance, not to mention the overall spectral change between the two sides) and varied textures. That said, I do think the rocks in the rings make little sense, as the amount in them suggests massive impacts on the planets, like an unformed moon from a collission, yet there are no marks to show this. The streak of energy between those two planets could do with a bit more gradiating glow too, done tastefully of course.
I also found that downsizing this by 50% and then sharpening it twice made for a more enjoyable scene, being able to see much more of it at once and with a slightly superior sense of detail. Of course, this also has the benefits of being more applicable for posting on the internet. I didn't find that it lost detail or effect, in fact, it gained in both.
Overall I think this is a good direction in quality for your work, this epitomises your best elements as of the moment I find. Well done.

Good job on each of the individual aspects - but I'm not sure if I like the piece as a whole...
Awesome planet rings

Very cool, I don't see many panoramic space scene here. Nor do I often find one with so many colours Anyway, the extended bit is a cool surprise...I bet no-one who saw the TerraSpace version would have guessed all that was to the right of it, the blue Sun looks awesome

lol i know
I kinda went for a "crazy colors" look here. I aim for that in all my pieces, instead of just lifeless, dead space.
Thanks for the comment!

Huge, great detail! It's worth the wait for the download.
The only thing it bothers me is the asteroids in the two planetary rings. They're too big IMO.
I like the sun flares!
