So this is my final project for my 2012 photoshop class. Out of all my final projects I'm most proud of this one. Thank you Roy for letting me use this piece.

Roy- The Vixen in my story idea was out gathering oranges, and she encounters one of these spheres during her walk back to the home village. As the days go on, the spheres start appearing almost everywhere she goes, and things get a bit "Scary" when she comes across the ship sitting in a grassy clearing. She is so terrified that she drops the basket of fruit and runs back home.

The next morning one of the silver spheres appears outside her home, and it rolls inside as if it belongs there. The contraption seems harmless, and the Vixen's two cubs enjoy playfully rolling it about. It's when the Tod, the Vixen's mate touches the sphere when things get interesting. The sphere splits open and all sorts of gadgets pop out, taking scans of the family, especially the Tod. Just about when the family seems the most terrified, the sphere resumes it's original form and rolls out of the hut. Curious, the Garetta family follows the sphere, and once outside they see the Village has turned out to welcome some Chakat and Foxtaur visitors. Among them is Chakat Goldfur, and hir daughter Eudora who many years earlier had gotten lost on Tanador and was adopted by the Comm-sa tribe.

The Comm-sa are descendants of the communications crew members from the lost Colony Ship the Greta Lynn. They tend to festoon their clothing and artifacts with communications symbols such as Morse code, Radio call signs, and signal flags. The Garetta are based on Gray Foxes, and like their vulpine ancestors can and will climb trees. Their colors are kind of like a "Silver Fox" with dark gray backs, silver sides, a thin band of orange- yellow before the white belly fur. The tail tip is usually dark gray or black. The Vixen's eye color is gold or yellow with cat like vertical slit pupils.
