Aptly named photo. You captured the barrenness of the word 'alone' with the overall gray tonality, the depth of field and the small, darkened form of a solitary figure looking out over the water.
The vertical orientation of the shot also allows the viewer to be pulled into the perceived recess of the photo, feeling the cool of the gray concrete along the way.
It's an amazing shot - again, gray tones allowing the viewer to feel that cold, empty moment of being alone, needing to huddle a little further into their warm coat as the sun sets in the horizon.
