Description A personal piece of a project that I worked on 2015, it is heavily inspired by Art Deco, science fiction particularly the cyberpunk theme and film noir. I wanted to make a concept work based on those inspirations with a bright and limited but unique colour palette, with an extra push of creativity to see what visuals I could create. Hope you will enjoy and thanks for looking at my work.

Did you know that the Film Noir version of Art Deco is identified by Bruce Timm as Dark Deco?

No this is actually the first time I am hearing this but it does make a lot of sense when I look at the way he applied Art Deco in Batman animated series.
I learned something new today, thanks.

You are welcome!
Did you know that 'Timm Style' combines the styles of the classic, now-departed comic book creators Chester Gould, Dan DeCarlo and Jack Kirby?

Oh yes, I think he mentioned it on a commentary or an interview.
He really loves the 40's-60's comics which is apparent in his work.
Are you a fan of Bruce Timm?

What do you think of Dick Tracy and/or The Archies?

I haven't read Dick Tracy but I remember watching a film or a tv show when I was younger ,
but me and my brother read and watch anything Archie related back in the day.

You had a soft spot for teen drama, huh?

More of the slice of life to be honest,
plus the characters where developed pretty nicely and the art style was unique.

Apologies read the question without my glasses and got confused.
As for answering your question it depends on the medium.

I see!
Would you have liked to see Dan DeCarlo's art style be incorporated into the character designs of other forms of media?
I would not mind seeing it become incorporated into magical girl series such as Sailor Moon, Winx Club and/or Disney's WITCH.

Of course it worked for W.I.T.C.H (both a good comic series and cartoon),
it just needs a really good writing crew.

Incorporating means adding something to something else.

You could say that I admirer his work, and would have loved to see Dark Deco be incorporated into other art styles, besides 'Timm Style' and perhaps Disney Renaissance.
