Yay for having a clean kitchen!! Our kitchen seems to be in a state of perpetual messiness... we both hate doing dishes, so they tend to pile up
We really should just use plastic plates and cups and throw them out, but we hate having that much trash, and besides, red cups and paper plates are for college kids lol!

We just moved into a house of our own so we no longer have a dishwasher. We bought a 500 pack of paper plates and use those for most meals, except for messy stuff.

The cook is yummy.
We ended up going the other way on dishes. We gave away such china as we had when we moved to the smaller house in 2012. Then one of Corky's elderly friends moved to an apartment (long story) and gave Corky her lovely set of china. We said, "Ok, Lord, we guess you want us to have china." We put our "regular" dishes in an out of the way closet and moved the new-to-us china into regular service. She gets her morning toast and egg breakfast in bed on a fine little plate. Most appropriate, methinks. We have a dishwasher that gets run ever couple or three days. She loads, I unload, since neither of us like doing the whole job. The whole is much greater than the sum of its parts.
