Just to clarify: it's a shader, it will not replace the original graphics.
You can choose between 4 different shaders: None (8-bit version), CRT (old TV screen effect), HQ4X (smooth graphics), 5xBR (smoother graphics).

He was making a joke about how the final part of the creepypasta fell apart and it was giving the player ACTUAL pain. I personally would like to ask if the ending will be changed so it isn't focusing on a "long dead girlfriend" (but the silver being could still be an antithesis to Red and the final monster being, like, her "avatar".)

This shader doesn't seem to work, IMO. I think your best bet is to keep it 8 bit

It's just a shader option. You can do the same thing in any NES emulator.
