Description
I've been working on this on and off for a good 3 days now in my spare time. Turned out pretty neat, i hope most of you also agree.Time spent: over 3 hours
Brushing experience: none
Stock: 1
Thanks to hameed for his planet, i edited it loads to make it not so obvious, though it didn't turn out much different but i'm still greatful
To all those space perfectionists, i'm still a space n00b so give me a chance

You make Hameed's planet fit so well into this piece.
The starfield is very "deep" and that's a major plus.
The star gases are extremely realistic... I will make one suggestion... Try a "Curve" layer adjustment... When the dialog box opens pull the center vertex torwards the lower right a bit and see what it does... This tends to manipulate the depth of the piece a lot... Depth, volume, composition and detail are what make a great piece...
Your lack of brushing skills really benefited here because you made some choices that added to the gases realism. The gases themselves remind me of the gases in Greg's "In Darkness Light" ... The gases in that piece were nothing more than color that was manipulated... No textured brushes. You've captured a bit of that here. Very nice work.

Sweet job. Very calming effect with the blues. The title really fits to fact that there is a single planet shown. I like it a lot.
