Description My knowledge, belief, and opinion are based on observation, experience, and self discovery. My mentality was not something handed to me by some '15-minute jesus'. For those reasons, I can stand on my own and hold my own. The rest can lie about their mandate, maybe threaten to move to where they think all the like minded followers dwell, or force everyone else out so they can wallow in their hubris without interruption. Sure. Find your flock you sheep - but remember this: reality will pick you off one by one, the wolves can circle forever; and your 'shepherds' are nothing more then sheep too.

And sometimes, even worse, the shepherds want to eat the sheep.

The sheeple are back! As is the wolf bitch, complete with wonderful clothes and muscle detail. Is it just me, or is that wolf head the same one the "greed predator" had, this time with eyes?

But yes, I can see why that wolf would be happy. It would be like the only man surrounded by women.

...though the reverse doesn't sound too pleasant.

Wow. This is definitely a favourite. You know, I read something once which stated (with research) that people who are always questioning their beliefs are often healthier than those who simply follow the crowd.

Absolutely LOVE this piece. It's one of the pieces, if you have at AC, I want to buy from you o_o; Love the anger/emotion in it.. The dynamics you use in all your work... With me being stuck in this damnable Bible Belt until graduation.. I have a LOT of love for this pic.

don't think that this degrades your work , but i loved your inscription more than the actual image . . this goes out to all
cult-loving guru-following, commercialized sheeps in the world, who jump from one ideology to another hobby, searching constantly to find peace externally.. "Find your flock you sheep - but remember your 'shepherds' are nothing more than sheep too. !!"
Salute friend!

One day, the wolves will turn on and devour the sheep. Because it's just what they do.

Another profoundly fabulous work. Well damn done

Very emotional, and very much something I agree with. Organized religion actively pisses me off, because I feel like so much of religion is based on intolerant tradition. People who find their own paths don't start the Salem Witch Trials or the Spanish Inquisition.

The anthro wolf looks a little wierd, but I love the representation you used for the sheep in the background. The color is bright, and harsh, but so is the message. And by the way--I know you categorized it under Anthro, but it seems like it should be Conceptual instead? I don't know.

Excellent work. Definitely a .

Imho, the anthropomorphism here is being used as a metaphor, not as a hook to impress anthro fans. The dynamic, styilized wolf character stands out all the more from the clip-art-ish sheep figures.

Things in art don't always have to look *just* like something in nature.

That's my point. PM chose to use an anthro character, but only did so to adapt the wolf/sheep metaphor into society. I see what you mean--this is easily misinterpreted on a site like DA, where anthro art is extraordinarily popular simply for its own purposes. Therefore, maybe this piece should be Conceptual rather than Anthro--as much as any artistic metaphor, at least--I never said it was "a hook to impress anthro fans."

In saying that the stylized wolf character looks weird, I'm not comparing it to reality. Instead, I'm comparing it to its purpose as a visual metaphor. The way I looked at it, it was nearly impossible to identify, and even when staring at it in detail, something didn't look right. Maybe it's the angle...maybe it's something about the neck...or how the body doesn't look humanish either. If something about a piece of art makes you twist your head and go "huh?", it's usually for a good reason...I just can't find a good reason here.

...Or maybe it's just me.

Amazingly inspiring. It is nice to know there are other wolves out there. I have been a silent admirer of your work for quite a while now, but felt I had to respond to this piece. Know that the flock may seem huge and choking, but the pack is only thin because we scout for more like us. Keep up the great work, you influence many more than you know.

And yes my sig has been such for some time now. Another reason I felt I should comment
