I load up a formula & then start digging around in side it(ie zoom) so its sorta planned...but it has a lot to do with the colouring equations to bring out the shapes

is it art or math or what? You have one that looks like an infinity symbol. Did you see hints of that then tweak until it became clear? Do you find faces and symbols and pull them out?

and you use Apophis (orwhateveritscalled) to tweak or does that happen in photoshop?

colouring is done in Apophysis
