Description
Apophysis 2.05beta2 Z+ & PS CS2Redbacks are Australia's best-known spider. They appear in songs and even have a beer named after them. Redbacks live all over Australia but are less common in colder regions like Tasmania. They thrive in populated areas. Hundreds of bites are reported each year but less than 30 percent require antivenom treatment. Before an antivenom was available, Redback bites caused about a dozen known deaths. Only female Redbacks usually bite people - the males are generally too small.

Cool...love the description! Your Redback reminds me of the "Black Widow" spider I grew up with on the East U.S. coast.....it has a red hourglass marking on it's black body and is poisonous.......nice work!

i once had to stabilize a redback in the caravan i was livin in. I noticed the round white eggs in the van roof hatched..and looked for a redback and sure enuf there was one. I wasnt confident to capture it into a bottle (cuz havin kids around etc) and it was a few hours yet before my partner(ex) would be back from work.
So i activated my worldly woman commonsense and sprayed a generous amount of high lacquer hairspray on it.. and it was stuck there firmly until the 'man' came home..
