Description
A Greater Daemon of Nurgle from the Warhammer 40k universe, I've always wanted to make a 3D image of one and figured it would be a great exercise in Zbrush 3, Cinema 4D and Photoshop!!For those who dont know he's a demon representing pestilence, plague and rot throughout the universe and likes to send hoards of flies to devour his enemies amongst other unpleasant methods

Excellent artwork! Evocative and with care given to details and colourwork. You've got the 3D impression, the shading and slick gloss nailed down perfectly. Hat off to such skill. Given your deft hand at illustrating Chaos, you might be interested in knowing that Warhammer Fantasy have a community driven spiritual successor project under steam. Namely, The Ninth Age: www.the-ninth-age.com/
It is fully possible for previous Warhammer fanart to be submitted to T9A, and if their iconography doesn't constitute IP infringement they may well make it into full army books, full credits given. Obviously, such an ambitious project is always welcoming artists, for artwork is what makes or breaks a professional polished product. This is a chance to have one's fanart under an official stamp, and moreover to develop one's own styles for familiar archetypes.
Note that one has to post two comments on the forum before being allowed to upload images to the gallery (just post compliments in the army blog section or suchlike first Β if you would ever like to contribute).

Nurgle is the scariest Chaos god. More than Slaanesh (who loves transgenderism and fusing flesh to flesh). Hell, even more than Khorne (who loves blood and skulls).
He's so disgusting.
And The Great Unclean One gives me nightmares. He's worse than the Bloodthirster (Khorne's greater daemon).
You have done a very good job of capturing the Great Unclean One in all of his stinky, rotting, oozing glory.
He looks just like I would imagine.
