Description
A juvenile Yutyrannus huali has stolen an egg for breakfast. But he had to cross a nearby creek where a swarm of black flies are descending upon him to drain his blood. Even the mightest of beasts fear the almighty black fly. His eclipse plumage is starting to be replaced by adult feathers. Please enjoy this little fellow
thanks
Blair

My goodness, the black flies are the best part of this piece! Insects annoying dinosaurs is a theme that needs to be done more.

Love the fresh take on Yutyrannus, particularly the strongly contrasted Mark Hallet-esque ambience to the scene.

The environment here is really amazing, I think because of its visual depth and sharp details in the plant life against the sky. That's to say nothing of the fantastically painted Yutyrannus! This is a joy to sit and look over

Great work. Those flies look painful, and since it was likley they entered orifices to suck blood, you can only shudder.

Never heard of this species, is it one of the newly discovered Asian ones?
Ugh, those out-of-focus flies really got to me. I can almost hear the buzzing. Brrr for blood suckers.
Beautiful and realistic as always, I'd like to just jump into that little forest path (if it weren't for the flies of course!)

This is incredible!!! It also reminds me of a time me and my friends tried to hang out in a marsh.
Every species of demon bug imaginable chased us out.
