Squid sighed, discomfort written all over his face. These grey and brown surroundings were really getting to him. The dreary background noises filled his ears and made his teeth itch. He also hated how overcast the sky was.

Glancing upwards through the grilled window, the tentacle eared Dream Agent could see pallid light trying to break free from a looming dome of dirty, yellow clouds. It only succeded in creating a sickly, pale glow in the sky. It reminded him of the Place where Nothing Happened. Shuddering, he vowed softly that he would die before stepping foot in that place again. Turning to the others, he blurted,

"Look, I don't know why your dream dragged us all the way into this forsaken industrial nightmare, but we'd better drop that potato quick before the suits see us."

Ohm glanced at him a second, noting the tone of his voice, before returning his eagle-eyed gaze to whatever was outside.

"Well... there's the shop. Down there by the escalator," said the Girl. "But there's business suits all over the place..."

And lo, there surely were... like dark, faceless ants, riding the escalators up and down... endlessly... with a deep, menacing silence... and bowler hats. The three could not see where they were coming from or where they were going. But they all carried suitcases. And that was more than disconcerting. They didn't look like fighters... But then... you'd Never Know.

"We will take the stairs," Ohm finally decided, in a firm but quiet voice.

And so they made their way down the dark corridor, the echoes of their footsteps were drowned out by the incessant drone of unseen industrial fans.

Rough work for some painting I wanna do to practice lighting. It's quite a tight shot but I feel it's effective. I tried giving it more background space, but the feeling became different.

In any case... this little excerp thingy is based on a real dream I had XD The Girl is, coff, me. I get to go adventuring with my bois today! \(^__^)/

Lets hope whatever it is they're doing will work out, ya?
