I love this kinda photography.
And i love how the water came out. You've not been that lucky with the sky tho.
The compo often is forced by many things outside the frame, so i cannot tell you if you could have place the subject a lil more on the left in order to lead the eye from the bottom left corner through all the picture.
May i ask you y shooting at f/22? after f/16 majority of lens has a decay of quality; not that i can see that in your picture due to an explicit quality and size of the photo, but still, technically speaking, y f/22 and not an f/16+ND8?

Thanks, glad you like it. I would have to disagree with you though as I did get lucky with the sky! I would of liked a lower f stop to get a sharper quality but most of the time you can hardly notice and the fact is I don't own a ND

Do you have any other details abot this, i.e. time it as taken, lens/camera, ND filter or not, etc? It is a beautiful photo - I would love to be able to create something like this.

Thanks mate.
It's taken on the 5D MkII with 17-40 lens, around sunset twilight just before it got too dark. I used f/22 so I could get a 30 second exposure using no filters. I then took another shot with a .3 Soft GND to gain a correct exposure for the sky. In PP I blended the sky exposure with the first one. I could of simply used the correctly exposed sky shot but I felt the GND muted the highlights in the foreground too much. Likewise I could of simply taken another shorter exposure for the sky without the GND but then the clouds wouldn't of streaked as much. I haven't used this method before but for this type of scene it worked quite well and I might use it again in the future.
