I'm not sure about the darkening of the trees .... I think it could be done a but more subtle imo .... but the funny thing is that this picture looks almost the same as a photo I took a few weeks ago here in Holland

Well actually the darkening of the trees was quite natural incident (crazy light because of the clouds), though the phenomen strengthened during the toning proces.

I wish i knew how you people did these things. It's so beautiful and different. The stormy sort of effect and downtrodden colors that still seem to pop without being...well..happy? My tongue is all tied up in awe. i love the texture of the clouds, very tangible. It's a road that seems dangerous, but one wouldnt seem to mind if they were walking down it...
