Description
Tarot. For more information about the deck and to see the rest of the cards: [link]Nine of Swords - Suffering from anguish, fear, anxiety, guilt, uncertainties in the night.
Stormcrows herald impending dissolution
with voices cawing raucous absolution
round and round and spiraling ever near
one future sought - one future feared
The funnel of the sky stretches up to the heavens; an ominous tower of storms with but the hope and glimmer of light high above at the eye of turmoil. "Come to me, come with me," the voice of the Stormcrows whispers to him from nearby. "Let me guide you through." With anxious eyes, he gazes upwards, away, oblivious to the proffered guidance through the night of the soul. He clutches sheathed sword close for security, rather than grasping bright blade aloft to light the way!

Very beautiful, but, slightly confused (forgive me, it's very late, this might just be me being daft) wouldn't the sword he is holding make it the ten of swords? Or page..I'm not sure, it's been so long since I last did tarot...

There are 9 swords in the picture, including the one he is holding.

Yes, I always let clouds and foliage and other textures like that show up in the irregularities of the washes.

How beautiful!! What a unique way to use that circular motif to create the eye of the storm! It is a beautiful abstraction of a normally frightening natural phenomenon. And his wings are so beautiful!! Another wonderful looking tarot card!

I love the shadows and blur effect you've got going on this one. Love watercolor. If only it were a better medium to animate with. Ah well.

Oh my god I finally found you! I thought you didn't have a gallery here but u do! Wonderful! I must say I'm a great fan of your work, have been since I first saw your gallery in Elfwood. I adore the way you control water colours and I wish to learn the technique as well as possible.
What kind of water colours you prefer, if I may ask? Winsor & Newton?
I must say I'm awed every single time I encounter one of your masterpieces, and this is no exeption. I adore the swirly thing you'we done at the upper left corner and wings are totally awesome, as always!
