Well you've definitely captured the pain of suffering of the 3 of swords here...wow! Nicely done.

No, this is purely a personal project. Take a look at my "Tarot!" journal entry.

This is great. I love the fact that you've used a swan, which everyone usually potrays as romatic. It's amazing.

This is one of my favorites of this series because it is powerful in its simplicity. It gives another meaning to the famed "swan song." It's beautiful and tragic; a perfect embodiment of this card in the deck. Wonderful.

Outrageously beautiful and dead on as far as meaning goes. I really want to buy your deck when it's finished.

Aw, that poor swan!
I hope Four of Swords is less sad. (Though, IIRC, the Sword suite tends to gets worse the higher you get, ne? )

I dunno.... for the first time I have to question your imagery. Why the heart? It's such a silly iconic thing... I feel you could have made this card much stronger without it. Just the placement of the swords insinuates heartbreak. Ah well. I guess even you can't be perfect. ^_^

Personally, I think this one would look a bit empty without that heart. It doesn't have the sheer degree of details that we see in Ace and Two, after all. I agree it is a bit over the top, though. Perhaps it could have been made more as a part of the well instead?

Another beautiful card!! The swords, the swan, the whole construction of the entire image is again wonderfully done!! I like how you make the blood look like rust stains on the wall!

Wow, you've definitely got the touch. I wouldn't be surprised that your deck will become my favorite to do readings with once it's complete.

The composition is much simpler than usual for you, but it doesn't detract from it. I like the cold colours and the way they are relieved with only touches of red and gold - it keeps it atmospheric and interesting at the same time.

AngelaSasser [2006-02-26 00:47:21 +0000 UTC]
The details and softness are amazing as usual. I love the blood stain of the hearts and the subtle way it fades into the picture. However, the composition doesn't seem as strong as the other cards in the series. There's something off about the way the swords penetrate at a full on perspective, yet the swan is at an odd 3/4th twist. Perhaps altering the view of the swan so we can see all three blades penetrating it would be more effective?
Of course, I can totally understand that this is a finished piece and probably will not be redone. It's still beautiful in its own way.
