I'm not sure why I added the border, but it seemed fitting, as if it were some kind of card or this was the splash screen after selecting this robot master as your next boss to tackle in a Mega Man game.He probably saw this coming. Everyone else has long since drawn and gifted of his main character classic robot master: Jet Woman. You'll notice I have forgone my usual coloring methods in this picture for a more 'sharp edged' shadow method. I wanted to go with a more 'official' classic artstyle. Well... as far as the coloring goes. My actual art doesn't really resemble the classic style all THAT much.
At any rate, Happy Birthday, Borockman! And thanks for all the wonderful art you've already gifted me! I know that (due to you being in Australia) this may be coming a day or so late, but it's still your birthday here! So... I'm gonna say it counts!

Anyway, very action-y piece! Nice pose as always. Very solid work there. Love those speed lines on the backdrop too. They look nice and polished. Not sure about criss-crossing the direction of said speed lines with the booster effects, but it's nothing too jarring. Speaking of the booster effect, love how you render it. White hot, with some subtle bleeding in with the backdrop elements. Looks intense! Nice work man.

I guess I kinda visualized her as being in a 'controlled fall', using the booster to slow her descent.

Oh, okay. That makes sense. If I were to make a suggestion, think it would look more convincing if she was also looking down where she's headed. Though I guess she can look anywhere depending on the scenario. But anyway, like I said before... it's not really a biggie.
I love it when cool effects just happen to appear accidentally. It's like you discovered a secret technique or weapon that's uniquely yours or something. No problem man. Hope to see more!

When other people use it, it looks great to me, but when I use it, it always comes out.... I don't know. I can't put my finger on it, but it's almost like the shadows are too much of a contrast to the lighter colors and it just looks weird. Maybe it's because I'm staring at it too closely.

It came out great! Some of the best stuff can happen when you work fast and dont over think everything trying to make everything flawless. This piece looks like you let things flow, how I prefer stuff to happen when I draw.Β

I really do wish I could get into that kind of a 'groove' more often. I think that's why I like your stuff so much. It has a very 'organic' feel to it; like the idea just jumped in your head and you scrambled to draw it as quickly as possible, and yet it comes out so well.
