Second picture of an official sonic chararcter. THE MOST IVE EVER DO- *smacked*Trying out different styles with shading and anatomy I guess you could call it.
I'm pretty please with how it came out.

That's a rather strange place to hold fire. 
I would add that you seem to have gotten the shading rather backwards, unless that's just a ball of... non-luminous gas or something. Try to imagine the light that fire would actually project on someone at a position like that.
