Description
Another commissioned piece of 's demonic priest, Anblick.I ended up changing his color scheme just a little, the blues of his design did not want to work well with the aged, "saint" style painting I wanted to do.
It's strange, I listened to Disney's Hunchback soundtrack a lot while working on this... well, the darker tracks. They just seemed to fit!

You know what my absolute favorite parts of this are, besides the overall fluffiness (hair and wings - nice texture)?
The lips.

I could not cease starring at those eyeballs for quite some time, so I almost didn't notice that delightful trickle of blood from beneath the blindfold. I would comment on other aspects, however others seem to have already done that and it would simply be a textual version of this anyway:

I love the mix of organic lines and symmetry. The textures of his skin, the feathers and his clothing look awesome!!

I did! I took it to my school's library where they have a plotter and printed it at like 3 feet tall x however wide that works proportionately xD I think it came out really nicely even at that giant size~

This is amazingly creepy and wonderful! Those eyeballs are the ace in the hole...I have to fav this! It's usually the smaller details or even things like the titles or artist's comments on their work that make me really love most things.

I love that soundtrack, especially the song I quoted lyrics from. It's wonderfully dark for a disney movie. I can see it fitting really well as you painted this. I love the texturing on the horns, hair, wings and robes. And the lighting is great. The sepia quality looks wonderful as well

Oh, God the eyes freaked me out! It's like he has none of his own, but he holds the eyes of other people in his hands, which is really creepy and probably symbolizes something. Disturbing in a good way.
