I'm still not 100% sold on the name, what do you all think? Morning Magic, Aquarian Dawn, Dawn Spell?? I just don't know. I do know that I love her already! Wizardly and science-y outfits to come.(c) Aquariursa

What a lovely style 
As for character design, I like colours combination, it reminds me of Princess Skyla. But your pony looks better, as colour of her body is somewhat brighter. White highlights in her mane also makes her look more appealing. She is just really fun to watch and those big, round glasses suits her cute, friendly expression

I do like the tone of that! It's a good name all around.
I also thought it looked similar to her and Princess Cadance, but underneath the shading her purplish color is a light blue. I'll do a flat-color reference sheet of her sometime soon, it was the settings and colors I shaded with! Other than that, they are still somewhat alike. I'm happy to hear you like my pony and her overall look regardless!! I always enjoy knowing what others think of my ideas.
