Personality: A sweet stallion, he can be skittish due to being unable to see.

History: Buck has had much happen to him in his short life. First, due to his mother not fully accepting him he matured slowly and never reached the full height of an average Quanan. Then, as a young colt he suddenly lost his vision, during battle training. This sudden blindness led to the accidental death of his first partner. Unable to see he was retired from the duties of stallions. Though, due to his gentler nature he became a mount for the younger children in the tribe. This is where he found his second partner, Brown Bear. The two worked well together, and because Brown Bear had lost an arm he was left behind in camp with the women. So, the two competed each other; Buckthorn became brown Bear's "arm" and, Brown Bear became Buckthorn's eyes.
