Description Alright, I didn't follow the rules for this one, the spaces are not filled as the creator suggested, but I think it worked out better like this.

Now, to explain why I used quotation marks on the word INFLUENCE: most of these things influence me, or did in the past, but more than that, those are things I enjoyed and that meant something dear at some point of my life.

And finally for the explanations. First, those numbers mean nothing other than helpers to organize this text; they're not ordered in any way of preference, date, or anything else. Let's get to them:

1) Dungeons & Dragons. This one is here to represent much more than just itself, but all RPG. This was the first thing to introduce me to this world, and many others followed after this one, so it was definitely of huge influence to me. I still like D&D, even on its latest versions.

2) Saint Seiya. This one is not here as an anime, but to represent all animated series I used to watch. Saint Seiya was the first series that made me count minutes before it started... even though the episodes repeated over and over and over before every new season was released, I never got tired of watching them again and again. I don't like it much today, but there are some of its concepts I still use.

3) Furry art. It was the first thing that got me motivated to draw better. When I found out I liked it, I started practicing, and I still need much more practice, even though I rarely draw now. However, it just dominated most of my RP ideas, and it's where most of my characters are based. This piece is also just the linework, since this is the kind of picture that I find more interesting and beautiful, not that I don't like coloured or digital pictures, but when it's only lines I think it's way nicer. Also, this piece was made by Michelle Light, one of the first furry artists to draw my attention, and she's here to represent many other artists I appreciate.

4) Holy Avenger. This was the first comic I followed feverishly. I hunted new issues every month around the usual date of release, and I HAD to be one of the first ones to have it, because it was awesome! This series went through many problems, and they usually stopped advancing with it - every time it happened it made me more worried that it wouldn't come to an end, but fortunately, it did! Also, the artists involved with this comic were great, especially Erica Awano and Andre Vazzios. I had them as great references before I started drawing furry art, and even though I don't use their art as reference anymore, I still think they're amazing artists, and I can't thank them enough for their work.

5) Extinctioners. This is a furry comic by Shawntae Howard, one of the first things I got to know when I started looking for furry stuff. I can say this was the thing that influenced me most inside the fandom, since I based most of my furry characters on his creation, because I simply loved the theme. Pyrefox and many others were based on Shawntae's characters, even though my plots and stories are more similar to Xmen than Extinctioners.

6) Rockman, or Megaman and X. This is one of the longest videogame series, and also one that I've been following for the longest time. I played the first game of the series, some of the following ones, skipped a few and came back to them when I got the first of the X series for Snes. I mastered Megaman X, found every single item without walkthrough help and also got so good at the game I could run through it without using most resources and I could still win. Other than a nice game, I like the main pattern of megaman games, with the bosses, and having to find their weaknesses... I don't like the other characters that were introduced as X's companions (such as Zero), but that doesn't make these games bad in any way.

7) Chrono Trigger. I could've left this one for the ending, but I think it fits greatly here. I had played a bunch of games before someone introduced me to this one, and had never seen anything like it. My friend Cianci told me to try and I did, and I absolutely loved it. The characters are awesome, save the main character, but the story, the items, the combat system, the places, all of those are AMAZING! And the music... it's the most awesome sound track ever. Do you cry, or get teary eyes when you listen to some music? The opening for Chrono Trigger does that to me, and I could say it was the song that I loved most in all of my life... it means too much and I can't explain all of it. It was this single song that made me go to the VGL (Video Games Live) when I found out they would be performing Chrono Trigger music, but it was this same song that made me never go again. I still don't understand how they could come up with a play list that didn't include Chrono Trigger's opening theme while performing Chrono Trigger music... it makes no sense to me, and I was very very disappointed. That day when I got back home from VGL I opened youtube and watched the opening over and over and over and over.....

8 ) Legend of Dragoon. The second best RPG I ever played. Even though I can't compare it with Chrono Trigger, this game made me play through 4 discs like I never had before. I liked FF8 back then, but I just didn't want to play a 4 discs long game, it sounded boring like hell. But LoD was different... the story was so interesting and rich, and the characters, even the less important ones, were all great. The first time it felt like I was inside a movie... I was worried for the characters, I was sad when they died, and I was happy when nice things happened to them. The combats were kinda random though... the creatures weren't that well designed, but I still miss this game so much. I wish I could play it again as it was the first time...

9) Pokémon. This is another game that had me playing for hundreds of hours. When I was younger I even watched the anime, but then I just kept playing the videogames and cardgame. Then the cardgame became too expensive, and the mechanics just weirded me out. The videogames were still nice, but then as they kept adding more and more creatures and features, and stats, and a bunch of things, it just became too complex to me. I still like the type system though, and it works greatly. But this picture is about the Gym Leaders, which were the characters I liked most in the videogames. They were all strong trainers determined to show how skilled they were while battling with just one type. That's something that had huge influence in my designs for elements and magic types in all RPGs I participate.

10) Yu Yu Hakusho. Some time after Saint Seiya has ended, they started airing this one. I liked it even more, and this time, it seemed more like an anime to me, and it introduced me to the world of anime, something I like even today. If I hadn't watched Yu Yu Hakusho, I probably wouldn't have watched any other anime...

11) Wolves. They're here to represent the wild life. Foxes, wolves, bears, deer, lions, leopards, birds of prey, and even some insects. I love how beautiful these creatures are, how they can be lovely but fierce, how they put all their efforts in everything they do. This also represents the other kind of furry characters I had, which are the feral ones. I started playing feral characters in Furcadia about 10 years ago, and made friends I'm still in touch even today. I still engage in feral RPs, and many of my stories, plots, places and other things I created are related to wild animals (and not so wild animals..., but still feral).

12) World of Warcraft. The MMO I played most. I didn't play too many, actually, but the time I spent in WoW is way longer than what I spent in Ragnarok. This is Illidan Stormrage in this picture, and he's here to represent the greatest WoW expansion in my opinion, The Burning Crusade. Back then, everything felt new, beautiful and the challenges felt much greater and awesome than what we have today. It's sad that most of that content is now obsolete, but I went through all of it, even if I got to the game late. What I like most about WoW are the bosses, they may be cliché, but their behavior, actions and statements are just epic... and they stick to the mind...!

13) Xmen. As I said before, Xmen influenced most of my characters. I never followed their comics, but the tv series were enough to have me using the same kind of plot development. That thing about some people being born different, with interesting powers, some destructive, some that can just do good, some almost useless but funny, and so on. The point here is: how would normal people react if there were suddenly people that could defy the laws of reality? Would they find it nice? Would they be scared? Would they want to 'even' everything again? And what about the ones with these powers? Would they get power-mad? Would they want to hide their abilities? Would they want to use it for the good? All of those are possibilities, and having a world in which all those different oppinions coexist is as awesome as it is unpredictable.

14) Anubis. He's here to represent all egyptian stuff I like. Also, he's included in many furry art. Also, this is a screenshot from WoW... xD

15) Touhou. I got very influnced by the characters and their songs. The fighting games are also great, but it's the sound track that amazes me most. Reimu and Marisa are here because they're the main characters, but they're representing all of them! These are cheerful and very different chracters, and what I like about the world of Gensokyo (the Earth in Touhou universe) is that all those supernatural creatures have different powers, behaviors and interests. It kinda falls under my interest for Xmen.

Well, alright then.. I think this is mostly right. Maybe I forgot something that should be in the list, so take it easy! Thanks for reading!

Edit: I added some stuff in items 13 and 15. My sleepiness killed my ability to think, so it was ridiculously short and unfinished XD (I even slept 1 full hour before I hit the "Submit" button XDDDD)

Yes, it did. I don't know exactly when, but probably something like 10 years ago it was one of the first furry things I got to know.

I'm gonna sound like a big dick right now but you must've been very bored to take time to write all this.
Specially for a place like Deviant that you don't seen to care much about hehe.

Jokes aside this was a great read!
I really like this meme, tells a lot about the artists and their interests.
It is also quite fun to assemble the images, at least I though so when I did mine lol

Many of the facts you wrote I knew about, some I didn't knew much...
In all it was nice to read about your influences in detail like this *grin*
It really shows what you are about! *laughs*

Porque eu escrevi em inglês?
Dunno, because it's cool I guess.

LOL, sim, it's cool. Mas that aside, eu fiz isso por que estava de fato bored. But I was so sleepy quando cheguei perto do final que não sei nem o que eu escrevi XD Maybe it's all random, mas acho que deve ter saído razoável...

Ok, relendo o final eu vou fazer uns ajustes... XD!!
