I'm back, and back to experimenting a bit on a familiar subject. I landed on something like a more ordinary comic book pinup with this one, like something by a Jim Lee or J. Scott Campbell. There wasn't much to the inks, so I tried to bring out a bit of extra personality in the colors, with deeper shadows, a light highlight, and some subtle airbrushing to accentuate the shapes a bit more without it being too overblown. I also tried to play with the effect that Hal Foster uses to get light hair with just pen and ink, by breaking up the contours of the strands to get the effects of highlights, which I then filled in with color.
