I got inspired thinking about bringing a kind of magical element to my gnolls.
- Would the magical energies in the world affect such an artificial people?
- How would it manifest itself?
- What would the reaction be of those around?
- etc

My basic explanation involves quantum mechanics and being able to collapse the probability wave form of reality in different ways, thus being able to shoot fireballs from the end of a staff, etc.

I doodled this as an experiment to see how they fit.
One note on the appearance that doesn't come out well in this sketch- I think most mystics would be albino and probably cover themselves in shapes and markings.
