God, try and be in graphic design, like me. They're very anti-Windows and I feel like just pointing out that Macs would be more superior if they took full advantage of the right-click option, the Start bar, the overall user-friendliness that Gates has provided for nearly 30 years and that Steve Jobs can shove his pathetic monopoly of electronics up his rear end. >(

Graphics designers and music guys have pretty much all be brainwashed by the "Mac is for creative people" maxim. There is no part in a mac that make it better for creativity. The main applications that are used do have windows and mac versions- photoshop for instance.

You know the speed of a computer mostly depends on the hardware, right? My computer runs faster than Mac Pros I have used, does that mean Windows is faster than Mac OS X?

I was adding the sources you were asking for in each of the posts. There is a reply button on every comment. Therefore, I can reply to whatever I wish.
And no, it isn't. Mac uses the same nVidia chips, Core processors etc. that are in every other computer made. Apple has no parts that I can't put in my own computer. Also, Windows benchmarks for games and such are much higher than Mac, so I'm not really sure where you are coming from.

flash is outdated and unstable. u know it. idk why your defending it except that fact that its the common writing program on the web
half the people who dont want to see flash go do not like change and think that apple is the big bad wolf without even trying HTML5.
im done im done i hate flash i love macs html5 is faster as much as you dont want to believe it.
peace

No, I think Apple is the big bad wolf for controlling everything that goes into their platforms. I don't want to be run be a company that is like big brother who tells me what is good to install and what isn't. And Apple is blocking Flash because they don't want a hole to open up for Jailbreakers to jailbreak the device. They want the whole walled garden in their control. If I buy something, I don't want a company dictating what can be put on the device.
And no, Flash is not outdated. HTML5 cannot do what Flash can. It does not support any of the encryption Hulu wants, it cannot create in depth content, and it certainly can't replace Flash at this point. Show me where the tools exist to create a high end game for HTML5. Oh right, you can't. You can make simple games if you want to waste the time trying, or you can make rich in-depth games using Adobe Flash creator. I for one want to see more rich web content on my phone but that is not going to happen unless I pick up a WebOS or Android phone. I already said I agree about videos. I think videos should migrate to OGG Theora HTML5. However, for rich content, Flash is very much alive.
Good day and I hope you pick up some more computer knowledge if you want to argue with someone in the future. Otherwise, I suggest zipping your lip because your limited understanding on how computers work makes you look like a twat.

lack of games?
steam just moved to mac and if mac buys enough shares from nintendo then apple would own nintendo.
at least i dont need to worry about programs randomly crashing.
flash dosnt work on any mobile device. flash works on all mac products except mobile devices.

Flasj works on android and palm devices. Mr Jobbs just refuses to allow flash on his devices.
Steam is just one set of games. And if it is on steam it doesn't nesaseraly mean it is available for mac.
I've had stuff radomly crash on macs too. They are not infalable.

flash is unstable. slow and eats battery power cause it runs off the hardware instead of software. apple gave adobe a long time to fix this problem and they never did.
do those devices have a mouse of some sort, because without a way to hover over a button without clicking it would make flash on a mobile device pointless
steam is moving all their games over to mac as well. i could just dewl boot my mac to run PC and Mac games.
not having to worry about viruses is nice too

Flash works on all other platforms fine.
They are working on new versions to support multi-touch. But by banning it Apple have effectivly atificialy removed market incentive to develop flash further.

No, Flash is a general purpose plugin. That's like saying the Linux Kernel is written for a mouse. It adapts to any form of input, it's just up to the developer to make a Flash app that works with it.
Give me a source that shows the battery is reduced. Flash 10.1 is written to not damage battery time.

They already have and also cut the automated flash translation application that convers flash apps to apple compatable apps.
It sgould be up to the consumer to decide the type of apps they want to run, not the platform manufacurer.
Apple are just being their ususal all-controlling uncompatable selves again.

Its perfectly stable on other platforms. In addition, just becaus a program does not run well on your particular platformit does not mean you should ban it. it restricts user partisipation and reduces incentives for the problems to be fixed. It seems Apple are embarised about their unstable systems.

Manice008 In reply to PyroTeamkill [2010-05-18 01:45:33 +0000 UTC]
macs are far more stable then any PC so i have no idea what you are talking about there. flash files when over 720p become jerky and slow. havent you ever played a flash game and when you get into far levels had it slow down from the amount of chaos on the scree? thats because its unstable. apples version they made never slows nor looses performance.. in other words you can leave your flash games on high quality and have it run faster then ever
idk about you but i would rather play fast and high def then be slow and jerky with crappy resolution
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
PyroTeamkill In reply to Manice008 [2010-05-18 08:24:56 +0000 UTC]
That entirly depends on the hardware you are running. If you are tring to play a vary busy game on a low spec machine then you are going to experiance slow down. This is due to the lower amount of calculations per second it can perform when compared with a higher spec machine. Learn computer science, lol.
Apple have banned the use of the flash conversion utility from its developers meaning that they now need to develop second verions of their applications for the apple platform. Apple does this. They like haveing things specially designed for them so that they can claim to be better. It just costs more money and time to to the developers :/
And they are forced to dance this crazy dance because of how 'trendy' macs are.

apples computer program dosnt matter upon your computer. aka once it loads i can play a huge flash game on a windows 98 with dial up. i don t understand what your not getting and why you want to stick with a broken down old out of date program.
havent you noticed that the internet IS switching to apples new program. cause they also see that flash is not good for the future. now if adobe can make a working flash then yes they will go back.. but the world has given adobe 3 years....thats unacceptable. its about time some company told off adobe to get off there asses and fix a program thats broken down and a piece of crap...
im not gonna buy a high end machine that costs thousands of dollars and buy extreme memory and game cards just to play storm the house 3
want a test to see how shitty flash is.. play that game and once you get to the last level watch how slow it is.
you know flash sucks. but your just getting pissy cause apple said something and you think they are trying to take over the world.. remind you PC holds over 80% of the computer world. so who is the big guy?

If you observed properly I wrote '!='. PC does NOT equate with Windows. This is something a lot of brainwashed mac kiddies forget.
It works on palm devices, htc devices, etc. Apple are the only company having real issues, so that is Adobe's fault?
As technology develops, software develops with it. Flash is constantly being updated so later releases will be more mobile friendly. I don't see why Apple thinks it is a good idea to essential block content from users just because it doesn't think it shows their devices in the best light. Surly it is down to the user to make the choice of viewing videos and using apps that will not run perfectly smoothly.
