Description Drawn for the 'Thank you, Severus' Challenge over at the Spinner's End group. A pretty self-explanatory Severus/Hermione piece. I just wanted Severus to be happy during Christmas-time, for a change.

Ink pens on bristol board. I think I'm entering an Art Deco phase.

Oh, such a lovely use of splashes of color! and the arabesques on her dress are great. I always love how stylized you make your pieces, they always come ot looking very striking! And now I feel bad because the color red is such an important part of my own rights that Iยดm fighting back the urge to "rip off" this color scheme/concept.

Oh, please don't feel bad. Using B&W with red accents is hardly an innovation of mine. Feel free to use it; you certainly won't be ripping me off! I think it's so popular a colour concept because it works so well and looks so aesthetically pleasing. Even my kitchen has black granite worktops, white cupboards and I've used red accents in my decorative glassware, paintings, etc.

She looks a bit on the young side, I suppose. I'm not a big fan of huge age differences between couples.

Hmm, I have always drawn her as a grown-up, because student/teacher relationships squick me; however, I am okay with the age difference once Hermione get older and mature enough to deal with someone like Snape.

I find that Art Deco style fits Snape surprisingly well. Maybe because of the stark contrasts. Nice one. Preeeeetty chandelier.

You're right. If anyone suits black and white, it's Snape. Even though he is all shades of grey. The chandelier started it all!

Thank you. I want to own a dress like that now. Actually, I saw a beautiful chandelier like the one I've drawn here - black, but with red crystals drops - and that's how the idea for this piece came about.
