Oh my goodness, this looks so cool. And I think it will help with more than just making eyes. Even though I'm not a good drawer, things like these definitely help.
But black ice? What's that? I could probably google it but I'm too lazy XD

Black ice normally happens when it rains and then the temperature drops below freezing, and the water freezes into ice on the road. It's called black ice because it's really slippery and hard to see when it's on the road and it causes car accidents and deaths each year. And if you're walking it's very easy to slip on.
It snowed the other morning then warmed up so the snow started melting and then it froze again that night, and when I went outside to scrape the ice off my car, I stepped off the curb and onto a patch of black ice and fell over. Hit my back on the curb, but I caught myself with my hand and tore it up pretty bad. It's better today though.

It's GIMP 2.6 (I think) which is free and pretty easy to use. But I think it's pretty easy to do on any program

Paint.NET. It has loads of others things and is free! But it doesn't have that. Probably doesn't help that I also have a really, really old version of it as well.
