The Malchus is gone! It buckled on itself just as we stepped through the portal. Very few could ever truly comprehend the scale of what was lost. This may be the greatest tragedy in every possible cosmos! The two of us emerged in the place between realities. I expected a mere blank void. What we got, made even my stomach turn. There is truly nothing that the Qlippoth will not taint with its presence! The Sea of Husks will trickle into anywhere it can reach. Another portal stood before us. The other side, a place I had only seen in my dreams, waited just ahead. The serpents seemingly could not pass through. They gathered around the portal and started to transform into more crystals like those that already dotted the sea.

The Qlippoth was always watching. The world beyond the portal was unlike any other with no ties whatsoever with the Malchus. It was the only hope we had left. Death still tagged along. She wasn't much of a talker, but she knew full well the gravity of the situation. The husks seemed to beckon us to the portal. The Qlippoth wanted us to pass through, into the one place it could not puncture with its rot. I had a very bad feeling about this, but we could not remain in this place. Answers wait for us up ahead. The only way out, is through.
