I had to follow up on defusions, should I? :U Chandelure was the Pokemon that came to mind this time, and I'm not sure why I thought of that first out of other Pokemon.Regardless, I went with it. I created a torch design for the fiery elements, but I waffled on the other half. I thought of a ghostly balloon with four streamers, but that looked a bit too much Drifblim, so I ended up with a skull-and-crossbones design.
I find this pair less elegant than the Latias Defusion pair. I didn't feel my heart was in these sprites, so they came out a little less sharp. :T It doesn't help that my schedule currently doesn't prioritize pixel art. Ah, well.
I hope it's sufficient, at least!The concept of Pokemon belongs to Game Freak. I do not own it.

Ah, for that, well... be creative! Take some recognizable traits from the original Pokemon and ask, if you found these traits in another Pokemon, what else would you expect to see in the design? I would step away from making the defused pair only 'simpler'.

I love them! I wish I could figure out how to make a defusion that isn't dumpy... so far the ones I've tried to design have been not up to my standards.

well, I struggle with making them look like pokemon, while still retaining aspects from it that would make sense by themselves. One of the ones I really don't like was a yellow onion with bird feet, and a red bird made for fire, which would have been a defusion of moltres. bleh.

Ah. Getting designs to look like Pokemon is a challenge. v_v I'd say to add new designs into your drawings to make them 'complete' if you haven't been doing that.
