The last tutorial I made was years ago. I'm no good at teaching but hopefully this answers most questions about my process.

So nice to see I'm going in a good direction with my coloring methods. I was having trouble with line clean up and never thought to affect the color hue/saturation for it! Thank you so very much for sharing!

Even with your step, by step instructions, how long does it usually take you to photoshop a picture like this? For me, it takes me a long time because I outline my pictures on photoshop. I like your way of just using the original pencil outline and just darkening it online.

Cleaning up the lineart this way just takes a matter of minutes, if you're using the blue pencil as a base sketch. You hardly have to touch up the image at all once you adjust the levels.

I probably am going to try that some day, might find it very useful.
Thanks

Locked layer transparency, where have you been all my life?
It also makes more sense to put the lineart on multiply rather than the colored layer. I've been doing it backwards this whole time!
Thanks for the tutorial, Sak! This answers a lot of questions I've had about your art AND provides some useful tools for me to work with.

Ahh, I used to multiply the colors rather than the lines. It took a lot of fiddling and going over tutorials myself before I figured out a comfortable method on PS for me.

Yeah, I got the original idea from a not-so-very-clear-and-concise tutorial that otherwise had an amazing final product. Fortunately this time it's made all very clear to me.
I'll give the method a shot! Maybe I can marry some of this info into my gradient coloring method to help cut down on time.
