I've suddenly taken quite a liking to Dite. Imagine that. o.o In my limited free time the past few days, I've been doodling her all over the place. This was one sketch I took to the inking stage, then scanned her in and decided to color her. I've seen other artists in the past draw characters looking "sexy," so I decided to give that a go. I'll tell you what, it's not easy making a quadrupedal character look sexy...

Aside from that challenge, I also decided to try and make this look like it belonged in a cartoon or something. Hence the cheapy BG. I used the clone tool and snatched up a patch of grass from a screenshot I found. I think it was from an anime. Anyway, seeing as I'm no layout artist, I thought it'd be neat to draw only the character, then pretend as though someone else did the BG. Seeing as I can't realistically have someone do that for me, I made one up, but with the help of an anonymous artist. So, just so you folks know, in no way do I claim the texture of the grass as my own. As I said, I cloned a patch of grass from another picture, then did my best to spread the love around the picture so it would look like a 2D BG in a cartoon. I made everything other than the ground's texture, that including the ugly tree, the lighting, all that jazz. It was fun to experiment.

So, there you have it. I'm going to practice some with textures and making things look like something you'd find in a 2D animation. So that way, I won't need to clone someone else's texture. *feels guilty, but knows that out in the industry, someone else would be making the BG for her* I wanted to see if I could make Dite look as though she belonged in the environment. I'm pretty happy with how it all turned out. :3 I also like how floofy her fur came out to be. Dite's so puurrrttyy and MERLE. Yum.

...oh, and one more thing. I forgot to add her heel fluff when I inked her. o.- So yeah, I know that's missing, which irritates me.
