I started a (still incomplete) series for-the-lulz where I'd draw my closest friends as types of dragon native to one of my headworlds: the rather dully named Old Realm Dragonworld. I tried to capture as much of their personality, personal symbolism, and general natures in the dragon, not really their physical appearances.
I posted these as I made them to tumblr, so 'scuse the copy-pasted descriptions if you've already read them.

TarawynWorldwalker (Allo) gets to be alone because he's the only vertical one, damnit.

-Allo’s element is Fire, the element of creation and destruction. The associations may seem to contradict, but there cannot be one without the other and Fire drives and symbolises that duality. It was actually really hard to pick between Fire and White for Allo, because he’s both a slapdash, intense kind of creative, and a methodical, researched kind of creative. In the end it was that duality itself that leant me towards Fire, as well as Allo just generally making me think of fiery things and DOOM. Fire Dragons are the most typical and frequent Fire elemental dragons. They’re most commonly red or orange or other warm colours, but that didn’t feel right, so I went with a kind of cold flame colour. Fire Dragons having feathers and fluff is also not quite as common, but I suppose Allo’s not that common himself. Fire dragons have a positive association with the element of Air, and are great flyers. I tried to include a lot of Allo’s personal symbolism in this, such as tern wings, allosaur face, yellow eyes, neon green claws and teeth (his preferred text colour; words = points of power!), and his Philippine Eagle totem. There’s also elements of Tarawyn, the silver griffin that embodies a lot of who Allo is. Everything else is just a general dinosaur/birdiness, combined with how I perceive Allo as an Old Realm Dragonworld dragon.
