Rock on. I like what Dolphin Ryder did with her, but this is still cool!

"I own"
Nice to see someone's rendition of the Nextwave gang outside of Stuart Imohen's style, grand stuff

I love the way you use this style, and how you don't need any color to make it culti-dimensional.

I still need to work on my inking ... but for a quick drawing, this didn't turn out too bad.

For this one I played with my FaberCastel PITT pens. Mostly the Brush tip. I'm trying to take my inking skills up a notch or two

thanks for the info Chris! i've seen them at my fave art store and i'll have to give them a shot... always looking to try out new stuff.

The brush tip is firm enough to give fine lines, but soft enough to bend for line weight changes. The other tips I have are M, F, and S, those nibs all have the same quality as the brush, giving the pens a great deal of line control for each size. And the ink is smooth and thick. It appears to be much darker than the Micron ink, though the smallest nib is no where near as needle thin as the 005 Micron.

they sound awesome... i called my art store earlier and they have them in stock, the black is in a 4-pack with all 3 nibs & the brush. i'm gonna stop by and pick up a set on the way home tonite. i tried those Sakura Microns a few years ago and hated them... the nibs tend to grab and i was very disappointed in the density of the ink. my gf gave me a set of Staedler Fineliners and a Pentel ink brush which i've been very happy with... very smooth and nice deep, thick blacks. but like i said i'm always in the market to try a new tool.

Excellent job here. Not that I feel the rest of my art is up to snuff, but if there's one thing that's painfully lack for me, it's the ability to create texture, especially with my line art. You've done that rather beautifully here.
