This picture is like a year old HAHAHA. I meant to upload but I just... forgot or something. Oops.Studied Shae and Felix's faces just for fun, practice in getting consistency I guess. Shae turned out to be remarkably easy to draw, and Flex's hair and goggles... well. They are a pain in the ass. No wonder I haven't drawn him lately T_T
Surprise! Now you know Flex's spooky seeeeecret. The vampire design is based on a dream I had a really long time ago... about vampires. The forehead nostrils and glowy veins serve a purpose, but I don't know how to explain without sounding like bullshit

Shae's expressions are absolutely wonderful (esp. since for a few sketches, it looks like she and Felix are making faces back at one another) and I OH GOD GOOD LORD I want to take Felix and his freakish face home and, I don't know. Love them.

They are brilliant! Flex is disturbing but the idea is awesome. Any tips you could give me so I could get more consistency out of my characters myself?

It helps to think of all the individual features and if you have them thought out clearly, they don't have to be exactly drawn the right way to make it consistent. Like for Shae, she's got huge round eyes and a sort of heart-shaped face and tiny eyebrows! So I just keep that in mind, as well as her personality cos I think facial expression makes a huge difference too, since there are some types of faces Shae would never make, and types of faces she makes all the time (angry ones!).

I see, so you do it pretty much intuitively. You are a pretty good "stylizer".
I obcess over my characters looking realistic then I end having to deal with problems I probably wouldn't need otherwise.

This actually spurred a little jaw-drop action on my end here. You've created some characters that really seem alive. And Felix's vampire face is keen, though I definitely saw froo-froo before I saw eyelid. And the teeth and eyes put me in mind of a chinese dragon. And Shae's yelley face makes me want to go practice yelley faces.

I love how you did their eyes, and the expressions in general. And the clean, noodly little detail lines you have. And the thick outermost holding lines. And just the look of Flex overall, coming from someone who's madly in love with Wolvie herself, you did a VERY good job. =d

HOLY SHIT his forehead can SMELL?! AWESOME!
Felix's second from the left's face is.. MELT. I love cocky bastard dudes. And his faces at the end.. holy SHIIIT that is SCARY AS FUCK.
Shae's face second from the right is nice, it's like "CHA. RIGHT!" And the helmet OWNS.
The colouring is sweet. It's just like, your base colouring but it still looks wicked! RAWR!

HAHAa no it can't smell, it's actually his psychic "third eye" that links his mind to the environment. But to me I think extrasensory perception makes more sense as "smell" than sight, because smell is a much more complex sensation I think, it can sense things that are otherwise completely invisible after all- and it's fascinating how dogs can be trained to smell things like CANCER (who knew that had a smell??) even so I am just liek whoa, smell is awesome.
.. also it looks cooler.
And um, actually Flex is very sweet XD;; but extremely smug. So I meant that to be a smug face actually >_< a smug bastard dude :3 smugsmugsmug!!

wow, cool hairstyling, really nice drawing and colouring (quite an expert already a year ago, hmm?) I'll have to check out ur gallery then, how very tedious D
Anyway, the vamp idea is quite.. disturbing, but really interesting at the same time, could'nt tear my eyes off from the second to last Flex pic o.O Despite being horrendously monstrous-like (in a good way --disturbingly handsome? X3), because his expression seems the most human-like. I really admire how well you can depict a character pulling the face you intend him to in such an effective way.

Funny enough even if the purple guy is obviously meant to be the scary one (the skin pulling back concept is both amazing and disgusting at the same time) I find the green one creepy

Such scary/(horrid?) design he has, but damn, I like it. Your designs are so easy to make "melt in into the system", but still, has this detailed uniqueness that seldom can be seen in other people's characters. Even these headshots has it, it's increddible.

Wooow, your character designing skills are amazing! Just to see Felix's face spilt open like that to reveal the monster vampire is just AWESOME and scary at the same time, but good scary. You make such solid character designs and some of the best faces I've ever seen, and not to mention consistency, something I wish I had. I love your designs, they are so inspiring, and please post many many more!

Man that is so awesome you don't even know! Or rather, you probably do haha. I have never really been a fan of vampires because it seems like everyone is so fixated on boring Anne Rice-style aristocrats, but I love love love scary monsters and you have made vampires awesome again.
I also love Shae's helmet because dammit, ALL helmets need a little antenna on them.

I love the idea of vampires but only really as scary bloodsucking batmonsters. But then it was really hard to reconcile that with the sexy sexiness of vampires as hot boys! HAHA. Felix=compromise, I can have both! Cute boy and scary monster in one :3 Whee!

I am going to favourite this just because Felix just scared the ever loving panda guts out of me \(O___O)/ I read your description of him before i saw the picture and... ARG! Lady, I was so not prepared to see what I saw... Seared into my memory that was... +I'm still just trying not to freak out while writing this+ XD Your design... just the idea of it... is terribly original, I have to admit very heartily.
Vampires as we know now are well.... either your typical Dracula clone or the pastey-faced gothic punk (or whatever the world is thinking today). But I think you just gave the word 'Vampire' a freaking jump start XD I do want to find out what's up with the forehead nose and veins XD I promise you I won't think it is bullshit~ I think artwork based on dreams we have ourselves are very personal and special (even the freaky scary ones!) and to be able to use your awesome talent to translate that so vividly onto screen is nothing short of amazing : )
