Description This watercolor depicts the Kepler 36 system discovered on the recent Kepler mission. The unusual thing about this system is that the two planets-- B, a volcano-covered world 1.5 times the size or earth and C, a gas giant-- orbit very closely to each other. So closely, in fact, that C is easily visible from the surface of B, appearing the times larger than the moon does on earth. All of this is real!
Anyway, I'm not entirely happy with the way the painting turned it, but I did have a lot of fun with it. Definitely going to be painting more space stuff. And lava! The lava was so much fun. Hmm, a Mustafar fan art may be in the future...

Haha, yes! Future Mustafar art!
But seriously, this is fantastic! It's great to see anything based off of new (and old) discoveries. You do space scenes very well - and with watercolor

Why, thank you! Yes, I haven't been able to shake the sci-fi theme, so more space art is definitely coming!
