Description
The sun was finally up, but it didn't help much. If the corn wasn't blocking my view, the fog still would. I felt lost even though I knew I was going the right way.Related content

when i was in the haunted house business i knew a guy that every year would "carve" an intricate picture in one of his fields with a mower. you could only see it from the sky. it was freakin amazing!!!
he also did a corn maze (gawd i luvz irony) and a haunted house, but it was his "carving" that made the news i had sooo much fun at that job.

I've seen pictures of that sort of thing, but have never been to one in person. It sounds really cool. Most of what I've visited is the typical city-type haunted house, but not for a while. They're getting crazy-expensive! (Although they are quite fun )

Strangely enough I don't get a creepy feeling from this. I should. Hollywood has declared definitively that endless rows of corn is creepy. Maybe it's the muted tones of the stalks and sky.

Once the sun brightened things up, it wasn't as creepy as just really really weird/surreal. It was when it was dark that I had the heeby-jeebies.

The nice thing was you couldn't go in circles for hours in a cornfield because farmers usually plant corn in straight rows. I would start to feel claustrophobic....
I was going to comment that the colors seemed a little pale, but yep, fog will do that, won't it...

Luckily they were aligned with the general direction that I was headed in. It would've been much more difficult if they hadn't.
And I can't describe the feeling I had. It was like I was lost in some place that time didn't move, and was completely detached from the world. I had absolutely no idea how long I would have to go in any direction before I saw anything but corn. It was one of the most surreal experiences of my life.

That really is cool and trippy.
I have never wandered thru a cornfield while it still had stalks growing...

that movie doesn't bother me...
Have you ever watched Stephen King's "The Mist?"
You should. That freaked me out more.
