URRRGH!! If I work on this another moment I swear I am going to go CRAZY!!
I barely finished it, it still sucks in places but I am too sick of working on it to fix it.
On the other hand...very proud of it. Completely lineless (which was the main effort-extractor of the whole thing)
Oh, and bad title but meh
(I am having some difficulty sizing it properly...I advise right clicking and doing 'view image' for ultimate viewing...or just...better viewing
Anyhow, this depicts my current obsession, Theuris (blue dragon.) And in her world there are people! Yeah, so I drew the girl character, who goes by the name Danny, because that's a cool name. And that weird thing on the right is a critter still undergoing development. It still needs a name, but at the moment it goes by the affectionate term 'blood-sucker'...cuz that's what it is. The larger ones can spray venom, then smaller ones can spray saliva which isn't as bad but it can't infect wounds and make rashes and stuff. They like to use their large fangs to bite into the jugulars (or any artery really, they aren't fussy) and drink the blood of their victims. Their claws are like hooks so they can hang onto their prey. And as they have no tail fan for steering they have the arm-flaps to help steer.
Yeah, basic story behind this. It's pretty much based on a futuristic earth where people have genetically engineered dragons and they are escaped and crazy-evolved. (The blood-sucker is entirely engineered as they are unable to reproduce) The blood-suckers are a real problem...as on occasion they like to flap around and attack people, which is never a good thing. So here is Danny and Theuris taking on a blood-sucker.
Yeah, sorry about all of the watermarks slapped on this but it took heaps of effort and, though it probably isn't good enough for someone to steal, I want to safeguard it.
I would love helpful critique, suggestions (particularly on how to improve the lineless colouring), your thoughts...whatever
I hope you like it
(I may come back and write more, but I just went on a massive bikeride and I'm knakered...nackered? How does one spell that?...Hm...I'm really tired

Your lineless color works are becoming much better! Again, impressive work with the cast shadow on the Blood-sucker. I can see that this image took a long time, but it looks wonderful! I do love the painting technique you've used - what do you particularly use to get such wonderful smooth color changes and forms? I've been using the Smudge tool in Photoshop CS4, but it still looks muddy. These forms are crisp. Please, great dojo, teach me your ways!
Keep up the great work and I can't want to hear more about these Blood-suckers!

Thank you
Lol the lighting! I honestly thought I was going to have to set something on fire to figure out the lighting
I have the same photoshop It might just look smooth because of the painstaking 1-pixel brush shading, then smudging
No, you teach me your ways!
And thanks for commenting
